Why convert ICO to JPEG?
JPEG uses lossy compression, so expect a noticeably smaller file than the lossless ICO original, at some cost to quality. The main reason to convert ICO to JPEG is compatibility: JPEG opens in every browser, image viewer and design tool without a plugin, while ICO doesn't always.
