Frequently asked questions
Do you keep my files after conversion?
No, not by default. Every job has a retention setting — delete immediately, after 1 hour, 24 hours, or 7 days — and files are permanently removed from storage at that point, not just unlinked.
How is this different from a browser-only converter?
Purely browser-based tools are fast for small images but can't realistically handle audio, video, OCR or office documents — codecs and renderers for those don't run well in a browser tab. We process server-side in an isolated, encrypted pipeline, which is faster and far more capable, while still giving you the same automatic-deletion guarantees.
What's the maximum file size?
25 MB on Free, 500 MB on Pro, 2 GB on Business, and up to 10 GB on Enterprise. The homepage demo is capped at 15 MB since it runs unauthenticated.
Is there an API?
Yes — a REST API with webhooks on Business and Enterprise plans, plus SDKs for JavaScript, Python, Go and PHP. See /docs/api.
Can my whole team share one workspace?
Business and Enterprise plans include team workspaces with role-based access and a shared conversion history, so nobody's re-uploading the same file.
What happens if a conversion fails?
You get a clear error message and the job is marked failed in your history — we never silently drop a file. Retry is one click, and nothing is charged against your quota for a failed job.
