Why convert PNG to PDF?

PDF is a plain, uncompressed format — the file will likely be larger than the PNG original, in exchange for maximum compatibility. The main reason to convert PNG to PDF is compatibility: PDF readable on virtually any device, with or without the original app installed, while PNG isn't built for that. If you're sharing a file with someone else, sending it to a tool that expects a specific format, or archiving it for the long term, PDF is usually the safer target.

Frequently asked questions

Is converting PNG to PDF free?

Yes — the first 50 conversions every month are free on any plan, including PNG to PDF.

Will I lose quality converting PNG to PDF?

PDF is portable, print-accurate document format supported everywhere. We use the highest-quality encoder settings by default so visual or data loss is minimized.

Do you keep a copy of my file?

No, not by default. You choose a retention window at upload — immediate, 1 hour, 24 hours or 7 days — and the file is permanently deleted after that.

What is PNG?

Lossless raster format with alpha transparency, ideal for graphics and screenshots.

Will my converted file have a watermark?

On the Free plan, PDF output includes a small "Converted with Convyx" mark. Pro ($9/mo) removes it, along with the 25 MB file size cap.

What happens if a conversion fails?

You get a clear error message and the job is marked failed in your history — we never silently drop a file. Retry is one click, and nothing is charged against your quota for a failed job.
