Why convert RAR to ISO?
ISO is a plain, uncompressed format — the file will likely be larger than the RAR original, in exchange for maximum compatibility. The main reason to convert RAR to ISO is compatibility: ISO extracts with the archive tool already built into your OS, while RAR doesn't always. If you're sharing a file with someone else, sending it to a tool that expects a specific format, or archiving it for the long term, ISO is usually the safer target.
